What we believe    

 

  • God is bigger, better and closer than we can imagine.
  • The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living.
  • Jesus is God showing Himself to us.
  • Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.
  • Nothing in creation "just happened". God made it all.
  • Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.
  • Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
  • God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose him.
  • Heaven and hell are real places; death is just a beginning, not the end
  • The church is to serve people like Jesus served people.

 
 

 The addition was added in 1995. This is how we look today.

Our church was founded on Aug. 9, 1885 by 15 members. In 1889 an old school & lot were purchased for $1000 to serve as the church.

In 1912 that building was moved to our present lot at
1100 Central Ave.

On Aug. 25, 1918 the cornerstone of this building was laid. On Feb. 16, 1919, it was dedicated debt free at a cost of $21,000.00.
